How many people do you know who can play the ukulele? If
you know Kadin, you at least know one. He’s very good at playing the ukulele
and really enjoys doing so. Naturally musically inclined, Kadin also recently
picked up the guitar and is taking lessons that he’ll likely want to continue
until he can jam out with expertise.
In addition to playing some songs, Kadin gives a little background on each instrument as well as his journey learning them.
As he is starting up high school, it’s no surprise that Kadin’s favorite class is music. Generally speaking, Kadin does well in school, though an adoptive family who can help keep him motivated and focused will be really beneficial for his high school years. He’s made progress to be proud of in math and reading and is focused on improving his writing skills. Kadin is a really intelligent kid and will thrive with the encouragement of the right adoptive family.
As far as hobbies go, Kadin has a lot to speak to. Besides playing the guitar and ukulele, he enjoys video games, creating intricate structures with Legos, and playing a number of card games. One of his favorite games is Magic: the Gathering. He’s become an expert on the game, and loves either discussing strategy or teaching others how to play.
Kadin also created a 1 minute overview for one of his favorite card games, Magic: The Gathering.
Kadin is also a big animal lover, especially reptiles. A fun fact? Kadin used to have a pet spider! Another fun fact? He has fast enough reflexes to quickly (but carefully) pick up a harmless garter snake.
Maybe above all else, Kadin is avid for the outdoors. He
loves a chance to explore, discover new things, help steward the environment,
and also occasionally build fort-like structures. While outside, he’s careful
to notice the wildlife all around, from the bugs on branches to the
beautiful sounds of song birds. When it comes to nature, Kadin has an
outstanding ability to appreciate all of it.
Kadin is a polite, social, respectful kid. He is quick to make friends due to his pleasant demeanor. Recently, Kadin has been learning a lot about independent living and is excited to learn even more important life skills in the future.
He has expressed openness to meeting a prospective adoptive family and we really hope we help him find the right one. Kadin will do well in a family where he can be the only kid (he’d do really well with his own room), or the youngest of older siblings. Kadin is really motivated by people who share his interests; a family who is also interested in strategic card games or exploring the outdoors is especially encouraged to reach out!
If you can see Kadin in your family, please reach out to us! We’re excited to find him the adoptive family he deserves.
