Meet Marcus

Friendly and kind with a sunny disposition, Marcus is a sweet teen who loves spending time with his people (especially his friends and his grandmother!). Marcus’ caseworker describes him as being empathetic and well-liked by those that know him.

Marcus likes playing outside and enjoys activities like riding his bike and playing football. This spring he played flag football. When he’s not busying himself with sports, he’s also a big fan of board games, especially Uno and Candy Land, as well as listening to music.

In the 7th grade, Marcus is enjoying school, and his favorite classes are math, PE, science, and band. This year, he’s been playing the alto saxophone, and is interested in learning how to play the baritone saxophone next.

Though he can sometimes be shy, he enjoys spending one-on-one time with people. This year, Marcus baked a cake for his grandmother’s birthday and was very proud of himself! Marcus wants families to know that he's a “sweet, funny, and kind kid, but also quiet and doesn't like to talk a lot.”

Marcus also wants families to know that he likes all of the seasons and prefers when the weather is not too hot and not too cold. He used to go to church with his grandmother and with his previous foster family, too.

A lover of animals, Marcus says that he loves cats and dogs equally, noting that they are both very cute! When asked about what’s important to him in a family, Marcus has expressed interest in having a mom and a dad, and also some siblings around his age. He prefers to stay in southwestern Washington.

Although feeling a little bit nervous about adoption, Marcus is open to it, and a patient, kind family willing to help Marcus with the transition would benefit him greatly.

Can you see this kind, sporty teen in your family? Reach out to us! We’re excited to find Marcus the adoptive family he deserves.
