A few minutes of conversation with Jonathan make it obvious that hanging out with animals and spending time outdoors top the list of his favorite things! He loves horseback riding and playing with his dog, and is happy to go hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and snow machining. Jonathan’s manner is straightforward and respectful, and he values being treated respectfully by others. He likes spending time with peers, and enjoys playing with younger children.
Jonathan identifies math as his best subject in school, and after high school he would like to continue his education and become a veterinarian or an electrician. Being a riding instructor is another thing that interests him. Though he appreciates all that Alaska has to offer, he would one day like to live out of state.
Jonathan will do well in an active, supportive family where calm, clear, and respectful communication is a priority. He would love to have a family with horses or access to horses, and he’ll need to be able to bring his dog with him. It is important that he have parents who will advocate for him and support him in meeting his educational goals. Jonathan will be counting on his adoptive family to help him maintain contact with some members of his birth family. If you'd like to learn more about Jonathan, please let us know.
