Meet Maximus

An energetic kid, Maximus loves being outdoors. Whether it’s playing sports or enjoying a nice swim, he loves to be active. When he’s not playing sports or running around, he enjoys listening to music and sometimes even playing it! He previously took piano lessons.

Creative and imaginative, Maximus also loves pretend-play and is always dreaming up worlds and scenarios to keep him busy. Maximus can really get those around him laughing.

In school, Maximus is working hard but does best when he has one-on-one time in the classroom, and robust supports in place to keep him on track and retaining all of the information he learns. Slow transitions with lots of structure help when it’s time to move from one activity to the next. Maximus is also improving his social skills, and families who can help to encourage him and keep him motivated would be in his best interest.

Maximus was previously placed in a multicultural (Mexican American) and bilingual household (Spanish/English) for a long time. In this home Maximus celebrated all major U.S. holidays and some Mexican holidays. He ate both American and Mexican food. Maximus also learned to speak both English and Spanish in the home.

Maximus’ team is looking for families who can give him the support, nurture, and calm that he thrives in. Additionally, Maximus has some biological family members that he could have relationships with in the future. Families should be willing to help Maximus navigate those as he grows up.

A kid who loves his one-on-one quality time with caregivers, if there are other children in the home, Maxmius will need a little help in sharing the love. He loves to have his caregivers’ attention and is working hard on sharing that.

Maximus needs a structured home with consistent routines while having flexibility to meet him where he is at with his needs.
