Meet Asa, a young man of many talents and interests! Asa loves playing first person video games, playing pick-up basketball, going to the gym, and riding his bike. He also enjoys going to the park, and he’s always down for an adventure, trip, and even just going to the store. When possible, he likes to ride his bike or take public transit to meet with friends.

When Asa isn’t being active, he likes to have some alone time. He has created a ‘mini cave’ in his room and enjoys having his own space to chill and decompress.

He is very inquisitive and has an amazing memory for both numbers and facts which he’s ready to share whenever needed! Asa likes school and even earned some high school credits in middle school. He is not sure what his future holds, but he is thinking about going to college.

Asa needs a family who understands it will take some time for him to open up and share what’s in his heart. Patience and flexibility will be important, along with the ability and willingness to hold space for his emotions even when he’s quiet about them.

Asa is open to any family structure. He's always lived with other children and says he’d be fine with doing that again. He currently lives in a house with chickens and he enjoys cats, but dogs would "need to be nice". Asa enjoys celebrating holidays, birthdays, and other important moments, but does not consider himself to be religious.

It is very important to Asa to maintain regular contact with his siblings and birth parents in Oregon. These are very essential relationships for him and he will need to continue these connections both virtually and in person. Asa has shared that he would like a home either in an urban area or near his relatives in southern Oregon.
