Meet Jeremiah (JJ)

Running down the field and scoring goals is where you’re most likely to find Jeremiah—who also goes by JJ. This soccer star loves to kick, pass, and score, and is dreaming about the day he can join a soccer team! His favorite player? Cristiano Ronaldo.

His love for being active and being outdoors doesn’t stop at just soccer, though. He also loves spending time at the skatepark, riding both skateboards and bicycles.

When he’s indoors, he loves to play video games. He also likes hanging out and listening to music. He especially likes rap music, and the singer Shaboozey. JJ has said that listening to music helps him fall asleep at night, too.

In school, JJ does well with some extra supports in and out of the classroom. JJ is a great advocate for himself and knows what he needs to stay focused and not stressed.

JJ’s caseworker describes him as being a wonderful kid who is very funny. He loves to make the people around him laugh.

JJ wants to be adopted, but is a little nervous about it, too. Families who would be willing to help JJ and meet him with kindness and patience as he goes through any transitions would be in his best interest. Two-parent families who can give JJ all of the attention that he deserves would be preferred. JJ’s team would also prefer to hear from families where he can be the youngest in the home, or the only child.

There are several important biological family members present in JJ’s life that he wants to remain connected with. Families should be willing to help JJ maintain those important relationships.
