There are two things that make Grace happiest in the world – music and animals. Grace likes animals so much and completely understands the importance of responsibility when it comes to caring for them. She’s so understanding in fact that she thinks starting small is a great idea. Grace would love to start with a pet mouse and work her way up to something bigger, say, a cow! She also has experience working with horses and finds it very calming and good for her. Needless to say, Grace would be thrilled to be adopted into a family who also appreciates and loves the companionship of pets as much as she does.
Grace picked out some photos from her photo album to talk about and share.
Currently in the 6th grade, Grace is proud of earning good grades and especially loves to read! An adoptive family who is excited to encourage Grace as she continues to navigate her school years will be a great fit for her.
Music is also one of Grace's biggest passions, whether that's singing, dance, or playing instruments. Grace is currently participating in her school music program. She finds herself dedicated to expanding her musical interests through song and dance.
Kind and caring, Grace seems to effortlessly connect with people due to her great conversational skills. She’s also very empathetic. Grace has been known to be the friend to pull you aside and keep you calm when you need it most.
There are a few biological family members in Grace’s life that she would like to keep in close touch with. An adoptive family who will help Grace nurture those bonds is essential.
Grace also loves reading, if it's the right book, collecting stuffed animals (but not just any stuffed animal, specifically ones that have special meanings and are gifts). and playing board games. Her favorites are Break the Ice and Mouse Trap. Grace would love to spend quality time having movie nights or board game nights and just hanging out! Grace also likes doing make-up occasionally and dressing up nice. A self described country girl at heart, Grace says "every country girl needs to do makeup sometimes!"
Grace desires finding the right adoptive family for her, which would be a patient and kindhearted one. The ideal adoptive family for Grace will have a strong maternal presence where she can be the only child or the youngest of much older siblings. Parent(s) who are experienced, patient, and willing to help Grace adjust and feel comfortable in her new home will be great for her. She is really ready to find a permanent, loving home with a family that will share their hearts with her.
