Braedyn has a serious passion for creating. He's also invested in finding his adoptive family. And he wanted to be the one to share with potential families.
Describing Braedyn as a “creative” teenager only begins scratches the surface of his imagination, talent, and work ethic. With a passion for DIY (do-it-yourself) projects, he finds inspiration in the things and hobbies he loves and sets out to create costumes, structures, artwork and anything else that captures his muse. From elaborate lego creations, to cardboard replica masks of Marvel superheros, Braedyn has a way with space and building that is downright inspiring.
Given a chance to contribute to and create his own In-Depth Profile, Braedyn jumped at the chance to dream up his own introduction to families. “So it’s not just someone writing on paper,” he says, “I’d prefer to show them.” Braedyn was instrumental in dreaming up his own videos to showcase things he loves to do and what he wants families to know (make sure you check out his video above!).
Friendly and soft-spoken, Braedyn wants to be adopted by a family. Those who know him best describe a teen who is bright, witty, and a friend to all. He’s one of those people who seems to mesh and get along well with just about anyone.
Currently in the 10th grade, Braedyn does well in school and seems to enjoy being there. An adoptive family who can encourage him to continue to do well in school will be a great addition to his life.
One of Braedyn’s most recent DIY projects has been the design and construction of a safe – complete with a lock, all made out of cardboard and tape. You wouldn’t believe how precise and well-constructed it is! A career as an engineer quickly comes to mind when you hear Braedyn talk about his hobby-turned-passion. Braedyn has also built and repaired models of cars and really enjoys any construction and design project he can get his hands on. His hands-on attitude even extends to the garden, where he enjoys planting and cultivating a wide range of fruits and vegetables.
Fore! Braedyn was the driver of his own In-Depth Profile (ba-dum-chh).
Braedyn has a close relationship with his biological great-grandparents and would like an adoptive family who will help him nurture those bonds throughout his life.
An adoptive family who is creative and enjoys a wide variety of activities would be a really nice fit for Braedyn. He would do especially well in a family with a strong male role model, like a home with a single dad. Additionally, a family where Braedyn can be the only child, or have older siblings, would be the best fit for him. He’s excited to have people around him who share some of his interests and can spend time bonding through activities together.
