Meet Karla

Sweet and loving are two of the words that come up when discussing who Karla is as a person. Karla is a very kind, friendly, and social kid who loves spending time with other people – both peers and adults. She’s an incredibly expressive person who enjoys a good conversation. She’s open and enjoys expressing herself, connecting on a deeper level with those around her. Talking to people is one of her very favorite things to do.

Karla is definitely the kind of kid who likes to try new things. She greatly enjoys being outdoors, especially if it means camping is on the horizon. There is something exhilarating about sleeping under the stars that Karla just loves. A nature girl, Karla is really interested in animals, big or small. While creatures of any size are an interest for this curious kid, a family that doesn’t have pets would be best for Karla’s transition into the home.

In her downtime, Karla enjoys writing in her journal, another form of expression that she really values.

Now in the 6th grade, Karla is continually making progress with her education. She does exceptionally well with one-on-one attention from adults, both in and outside of school, and her progress is noticeably stronger when she has a mentor or teacher by her side. She’s working diligently on the tougher subjects like math and reading. With an adoptive family who is organized and excited about school, Karla will surely thrive.

Karla would do well in an adoptive family who loves to spend quality time with one another. She would do particularly well in an adoptive family with one or two moms or a couple who can spend plenty of time with her. She would do well as an only child or as the younger sibling to older sisters.

If you are interested in learning more about Karla, please let us know! We're excited to find her the adoptive family she deserves.
