Not-so-secret talent: Throwing spirals
Dreams of: Designing video games
Recommends reading: The Michael Vey book series
Hopes to find: An adoptive family

An introspective, natural leader, Michael is the kind of kid who brings a ton of positive energy to the room. It's clear that Michael often has a mission to brighten someone’s mood.

“When someone is having a bad day, Michael will do all he can to change that. Michael has made friends easily; due to the positive energy he carries.”

Michael has a ton of hobbies and interests. He’s a big reader who especially seeks out fantastical book series like Percy Jackson, one of his all-time favorites. He loves video games like Minecraft and Fortnite and also enjoys mobile games like Pokémon Go. When it’s nice outside, Michael loves to head outdoors to ride his bike, play on the trampoline, or go fishing!

Michael's reading recommendations: The Michael Vey book series

A self-proclaimed bookworm, Michael loves reading, and especially loves the Michael Vey book series. The second to last book of the series is his favorite.

In school, Michael has done pretty well navigating the world of online and hybrid learning. An adoptive family who will motivate, encourage, and support Michael in his studies will be a great addition for him. In the future, Michael has expressed an interest in becoming a technical engineer. He has a real knack for taking things apart and putting them back together and would love to make a career out of it. Michael is really interested to start learning how to work on cars and would really benefit from an adoptive family who can help him accomplish that goal. He’s also really interested in woodworking!

Michael hopes to work at Microsoft some day. Check out some of his other future goals here!

“I appreciate Michael’s willingness to talk with me during visits. He is more engaged than a lot of children his age.”

Michael has a really close relationship with his biological brother; an adoptive family who will support this bond and welcome Michael's brother into their lives is essential.

Michael’s team is eager to hear from experienced and patient families who are able to meet Michael where he’s at. A big fan of pets (especially dogs!), Michael would be so excited for his adoptive family to be pet people! Michael would like to have his own bedroom, but is very open-minded about the makeup of his adoptive family as long as they're able to spend a lot of quality time together. A big game player, Michael is ready to challenge anyone to a night of Uno!

If you can see Michael in your family, please reach out to us. We're excited to help him find the adoptive family he deserves.

Beyond the Profile: Michael is such a fun teen to talk to. He had so many things he wanted to share, including his love for football and excitement to try out for his school's team next year, to his favorite book series, to his hopes and dreams for the future. He's outgoing, funny, and even patient in teaching me how to throw the perfect spiral (after having to catch many of my bad throws). Michael is a super sharp teen whose passion to get into the tech world truly shines! I'm so hopeful that he'll find an adoptive family to help him achieve all of those dreams, and I'll be first in line to purchase his video game whenever it debuts.
