Meet Ryder

Helpful is a word that gets thrown around a lot when talking about Ryder, and it’s clearly well-earned. From being there for a neighbor to holding a baby for a busy parent, Ryder is just always willing to lend a hand. Recently, he assisted a neighbor with some yard work and ended the day by asking her when he could come back and pick it back up. Ryder has attended a baseball camp with younger kids and was super supportive and encouraging. He’s also been known to offer to show up for older folks in his community, even helping his foster mom’s family move homes.

“He does not have a chip on his shoulder and is generally positive. He is very helpful and often volunteers to help.” - Ryder’s social worker

What a great kid to have on your team, and speaking of teams, Ryder is super athletic and very active. He really enjoys playing football and basketball and additionally loves to snow and skateboard. When he isn’t expending his energy playing sports, Ryder is likely playing the guitar, listening to music, or hanging out with friends. Ryder is a super friendly kid who absolutely thrives on being social. The busier he is, the better. Ryder loves to be involved in activities and surrounded by people.

Currently in school, as one may expect as a social person, Ryder is missing his in-person education. Ryder is super bright, does super well in school, and is dedicated to his education. He can’t wait to get back to class! Ryder has a few goals, currently that include getting a driver's license and a part-time job.

Ryder has relationships with his biological brothers who he is very close with. An adoptive family who will support those bonds will be essential.

Ryder has such a fun personality and a great sense of humor. Quick-witted and sparingly sarcastic, Ryder is just so loved. He's a deep thinker, a great conversationalist, and is quite inquisitive! The ideal family fit for Ryder will be a family who is equally excited by filling their calendar with fun activities and community events. Ryder does great with other kids but would prefer to be the youngest or only child in a smaller family. Ryder's ideal home would be in a city or at least close to where it’s all happening, and he'd love to stay local, though all families are encouraged to reach out.

If you can see Ryder in your family, please reach out to us. We're excited to find him the adoptive family he deserves.
