Meet Kayto

The great outdoors is where Kayto would love to spend all of his time with a family! Whether camping, riding bikes, climbing, running, or just playing, he is an active and outdoorsy kid who would love to share those hobbies with an equally energetic family.

Easily entertained, Kayto finds amazement in even the littlest things in life. His caseworker says he has an infectious smile and is always making people laugh. He is also very curious and inquisitive, and loves learning about new things.

Given his curiosity and interest in lots of new things, Kayto would do well with a patient family who can provide him with lots of supervision to make sure he is always staying safe and able to enjoy those new things.

Kayto is described as a happy-go-lucky child who continues to be extremely friendly to everyone he meets. A social butterfly, Kayto makes friends easily. He can be compassionate and caring and enjoys cuddles on the couch and snuggling up with a good book. He is also very musically inclined and loves to dance to anything with a beat, pound a drum, strum a guitar or play around on a piano.

Kayto is making great strides in school and in his development overall. He has improved his ability to sit still and engage in activities with adults or by himself. He loves playing with anything that has wheels, building train tracks, or creating worlds with Legos. Kayto receives services inside and outside of the classroom that help him make progress on his many goals. Families willing to continue to advocate for Kayto and help him receive these services are in his best interest.

Kayto is well connected with his biological brother, and it is imperative that any families interested in Kayto are willing to help nurture that relationship he has with his brother and help facilitate contact between the two of them. In addition to his brother, Kayto has great relationships with previous caregivers who are more than happy to stay involved in Kayto’s life and provide respite care if needed.

Kayto has Native American heritage but is not eligible for tribal enrollment. This is an area of significance for Kayto’s sense of self and opportunities for community going forward and ongoing connections to his Indigenous roots should be supported.

Kayto’s team is especially excited to hear from families with no other children, or with children for which there is a significant age gap. He has done well in a home with other kids
at least a few years older than him. Kayto has lived in homes with cats and dogs and enjoys interacting with them. Can you see this active, curious youth in your family? Reach out to us! We’re excited to find Kayto the adoptive family he deserves.
