Meet Wayde and Mason

Wayde is a delightful mix of silliness and serious. He can engage in goofy imaginative play until he is overcome with laughter, and he also asks deep questions and has a constant stream of things he is pondering and wondering about!

Mason is a bit quieter than his brother but is also extremely creative and great with imaginative play. He loves spending time building with blocks or Legos, and would prefer to let his imagination run wild and dream up his own creations rather than building by the instructions!

Wayde’s caseworker describes him as being thoughtful and empathetic. He is always offering to help others. Wayde does an excellent job of being able to communicate what he is thinking and feeling.

Mason is a big helper and loves to spend time around the house seeing if anyone needs help in the kitchen or with any other household chores!

Being outside is what Wayde loves the most! Whether it’s playing with animals, working on projects, or riding his bike, Wayde loves to do just about anything outdoors where he can be active. He’s recently been on basketball and soccer teams and has been taking swimming lessons!

Like his brother, Mason also loves just about anything to do outside. He really enjoys playing with sand and spending time at the pool. He’s recently had the chance to participate in equine therapy, and has really enjoyed working with and caring for horses in this way.

Wayde could see himself living in either the country or the city! He loves being on the farm, being outside, and hanging with animals, but he also sees the appeal of living in a city where there are lots of activities and things to do.

Mason is making big strides in his communication. A family that will continue to help him grow and be patient as he learns to communicate his feelings will be in his best interest. The team hopes to hear from families who will prioritize his education and be strong advocates for him.

Wayde and Mason’s team is looking forward to hearing from families that are patient and can provide a lot of structure as the siblings adjust to and transition to a new home. A family will need to be flexible, creative, and be strong advocates for the boys. The family will need to be willing to give them plenty of time, commitment, and ongoing reassurance.

These brothers are a closely bonded sibling set. They rely on each other for comfort and a sense of belonging, and have always preferred to share a room. They have other siblings and relatives that are very important connections to them, and it will be crucial for families to help Wayde and Mason maintain those relationships.
