Ramon is happiest when he can get outside and play one of his two favorite sports—soccer or baseball. Social sports for a social kid! Ramon is super friendly and enjoys hanging out with friends and peers his age. When inside, you can probably find Ramon playing whatever new video game has caught his eye.
Ramon had a lot to share for his In-Depth Profile, including some favorite jokes!
Currently, in the 4th grade, Ramon’s favorite subject is also one he’s good at—math! His least favorite subject is art though he enjoys drawing; mostly he doesn’t want to be rushed. A true artist needs to take their time. Ramon has a good relationship with his school counselor who has nothing but positive things to share including that he has a strong willingness to help others at school, including the kindergartners. Ramon is usually the first one to raise his hand to help.
Kind, helpful, and funny, the people in Ramon’s life have so many wonderful things to share about who he is. Both his foster mom and his caseworker note that they appreciate how willing Ramon is to try anything new. His foster mom says Ramon is grateful and appreciative, and even though he might complain sometimes, he’ll always follow through. Ramon is empathetic, and affectionate, and knows how to show compassion. For instance, recently, he wanted to collect change to donate to the Salvation Army bucket outside of the local stores.
When asked what he wants to share with potential adoptive families, Ramon says that he wants people to know he can be easily frustrated but he’s also very friendly. Ramon has expressed his interest in a nice, fun family with parents who will let him play with electronics. He has also added that he’d like to have a sibling his age and a single mom. Ramon loves dogs, especially French bulldogs, boxers, pugs, dachshunds, and basset hounds. He also loves pets of any kind! And he is patient and skilled at taking care of them.
While Ramon is eager to find his permanent home, he has bittersweet feelings when it comes to moving away from his foster mom. Potential adoptive families should be aware of and supportive of his transition into their home. Ramon’s team is eager to hear from families who will keep Ramon connected with the important members of his biological family. Those relationships are essential in his life.
