Cliff is very handsome. Between his sparkling eyes and spiked hair, most adults just want to hug him. He is a boy who likes his world clean and orderly, and he keeps his own room surprisingly neart. Cliff is extraordinarily kind and caring and can be extremely loving. He is very close with two of his three brothers and loves his kindergarten teacher and foster family. Cliff plays well by himself and has a good attention span. If the spirit moves him, he may take off on an adventure. He has a lot of energy to put into being a brother and a child to the right family. Following a thoughtful, slow transtion in his adoptive family, Cliff should respond very well to adult(s) who will make a commitment to him and honor his sibling connections. Being a pretty typical kid, Cliff can get aggressive at times and have tantrums when tired or frustrated. At times he has a hard time following directions but with gentle prompts and redirection he gets back on task pretty easily. He has made good progress in his speech and language developmental, and he is pretty easily understood by those who know him. Cliff has not had a lot of exposure to pets. Cliff came into care May 2004 with his brothers. The oldest lives with his mother out of state and Jonathan is in a home with the second oldest brother. Cliff in in an individual placement. Cliff is very energetic, active and will keep any family on their toes. He has the capacity and willingness to attach to a family and provide a lot of love and care to those who provide the same. While he comes with a history, he comes with energy and affection and can be ideal for a family who has the patience, the liveliness and the sparkle to provide him with a permanent home he has longed for. We are recruiting for Cliff’s older brother as well and DHS is hoping to find an adoptive resource they will be able to provide a home for both boys together. |
