NOAH (8/02) is an extremely cheerful boy in the midst of many physical and neurological challenges. The hope is to place Noah and his brother and sister together; that is, if parents could be found who possess the skills and resources needed by all three children. Realistically, Noah may need a separate family; one that can maximize his development, while maintaining connection with his siblings.

An affectionate boy who is always eager to explore, Noah loves to remove his leg braces and be out of his wheelchair! He plays happily in the grass or on the floor, where he scoots in a tripod motion. He is able to use his strong right side, despite paralysis on the left and blindness. He needs parents who, because of unique skills, might recognize how far he has come since his initial diagnosis of Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Noah currently requires gastrostomy tube feeding; however, he thoroughly enjoys chewing on everything he can get his hands on. A sturdy "chewy toy" provides the sensory stimulation that is a constant need in his life. His foster mom says he loves being hugged and rocked throughout the day.

Despite many challenges, Noah’s progress in a specialized foster family has been amazing! Noah needs parents who will encourage healthy stimulation and continued developmental gains. A family with a home that accommodates a wheel chair would be essential. More importantly, however, will be the level of love he receives as he rewards his family with his incredible, joyful spirit.
