KENNETH (2/99) and JEFFERY (9/97) are legally free for adoption and would like to tell you a bit about themselves.

“Hi, my name is Jeffery. I love sports, especially bike riding. Indoors I like playing with my GameBoy and with Legos. My new favorite movie is Highschool Musical – I have both DVDs. My favorite foods are pizza, lasagna, and tacos. I like to eat at McDonald's.

I really like school, and my favorite things to do in school are recess and math. I also really like P.E.

I want to be in contact with my sisters and brothers. I want a mom and dad who will go to my games and who will play with me. I also want a family who will ride bikes with me."

Jeffery is an enthusiastic and friendly young man. He really enjoys school and is learning long division and shapes. He also likes playing Skeeball at Chuck E. Cheese. Jeffery's social worker describes him as "witty and friendly." He displays his wit in fun stories to surprise and entertain new people he meets. He loves to sing, dance and act. These could be wonderful talents to develop in school and the community. Parent(s) who have strong boundaries with some flexibility for a young man learning new social skills would be a great match. Through the school system, Jeffrey is receiving assistance in speech and doing quite well. Understanding the need for contact with siblings who are not being placed with Jeffrey and Kenneth would be a desired trait for potential adoptive families. If you posses many of the interests and traits Jeffery described, that would be a start in making him and his brother a part of your life.

"Hi, my name is Kenneth. I like football and wrestling. I like country music and the movie "Cars." I went to Chuck E. Cheese for my birthday. My favorite foods are French fries, apples, and spaghetti. My favorite movie is "Tom and Huck: Mississippi Adventure."

Kenneth is an engaging and lively young man. He likes the Harry Potter movies and Boise State football but prefers more to watch than to play. Kenneth would like to live in a family that has younger siblings. Kenneth's social worker describes him as "funny and outgoing." He enjoys conversations about his interests and people who can focus needed attention on him. He is currently receiving assistance through community resources that assist him with effective new coping skills. He needs parents who will continue to access similar services. Kenneth is very bonded with younger siblings who are placed separately. His well-being will be highly dependent upon continued contact.

The children's adoption team will be looking for realistic parents who know how to access many community resources related to special needs. Experience with ADHD and providing strong boundaries will also be a plus. If you have above-average understanding and experience in meeting the needs of children who've experienced trauma and loss, you could be the family to laugh with and love this gregarious boy and his witty brother.
