Meet JUSTIN (9/95), a handsome boy, who wants to tell you a bit about himself.

"My name is Justin, and I'm ten-years old. I love to play X-Box and I'm really good at it. I'm in scouts and I like to do things outside like camping and swimming. I like riding my bike and playing outside games with my friends. I like to draw pictures with gel pens and with colored pencils."

"I want to be in a family that has a lot of energy and likes to do things outside. I think it would be great to have my own room. I would do chores at home to earn extra money so I could buy new cars at the toy store. I would love animals and would like to have a cat or a bird someday."

Justin is a happy, energetic boy who is a delight to be around. He has a vivid imagination and likes to do art projects. He is content when he is busy, especially with outdoor activities.

Justin has a unique quality in that he gives deep though to many subjects most kids his age don't think about. He has proven to have quite a philosophical outlook on life and often asks questions that require some thought before answering.

As he learns to handle anxiety, and to adjust to change, Justin needs strong individuals in his life that understand the effects of abuse and neglect. He needs to know what's happening next to him and to feel safe. He needs the one-on-one focus and altruistic interest of folks who can delay their own need for love and understand why Justin's bonding may take time.

Justin's adoption team will be looking for a single parent or couple with experience and willingness to access professional resources. If Justin is to maintain and build upon the progress he has made so far, he needs a stable couple of single parents with lots of parenting savvy. Justin is a perfectionist and at times gets frustrated with himself. His intelligence and academic abilities are strengths. His social skills are challenges that could be met with consistent mentors in his life. If you are a single parent of stable couple with lots of parenting savvy, you could help this "firecracker" light the sky with his success as he learns to trust within the secure walls of your home.

Justin has a brother and a sister with whom he wants to maintain some contact. (See John C6210).

Subsidy and Purchase of Service may be available.
