If
you have completed an adoption homestudy
and would like to have your information forwarded to this child's worker, contact us. Peter would now like to tell you a little about himself. “I play basketball, football, and team sports. My favorite subjects in school are PE, lunch, life-skills, and after school activities. I like all periods (classes), though. For fun I like to hang out with my friends after school and go to movies, maybe play video games. When I get older I want to be a CSI investigator. I think it’s cool to find out what the crime was. I’d like to be a professional basketball player, too. “I’d like a family that would do things after school, like let me go to the community center and shoot around. If I need to be disciplined what works is taking away the community center for a while, not sticking me in my room. A good dad would take me out a lot, play sports with me. A good mom would help me with homework or would help me with pretty much anything else.” Peter came into care with his two siblings in December 1999 due to neglect and failure to protect amidst parental substance abuse. Following the unsuccessful place with a relative, Peter was placed in a residential treatment program, where he made significant gains in strengthening his boundaries and addressing his feelings of past trauma and grief. Since graduating from his treatment center, he has been doing well within the structure and oversight of his therapeutic foster family. Peter is responsive to strong male role models. And he would like to have a dad or some adult male relative in his everyday life. He would also like a family who would support his continued relationship with his sisters, grandma, aunts and uncles.
