Oregons's Waiting Children

A reminder: in order to receive additional information or be forwarded to an individual social worker, you must have a completed adoptive home study.

In addition, the State of Oregon has established the following protocol for all inquiries.

  1. Families will need to provide us with their worker's name, agency and email address.
  2. We will then forward your family worker an "Oregon Child Bulletin" via email.
  3. Your family worker will need to utilize the information in the bulletin to contact the child's social worker.
  4. Oregon wants worker to worker contact and has selected this method of inquiry communication. A child's social worker's contact information will not be released to families.
  5. We suggest that you advise your family worker that they will be receiving the Oregon Child Bulletin. Of course, they are more than welcome to contact us with questions!

The Northwest Adoption Exchange does not collect home studies nor do we make placement decisions. Our job is to connect adoptive families who have completed a Home Study with the workers of the children featured on our web site.
